Series Loss to the Nats

The Braves lost three out of four games this week at Truist Park to the third place Nationals. David & Eric begin with the struggling offense as they scored just nine runs during the entire series. Marcell Ozuna is the only member of the lineup who has a OPS above .800 (.998).

(08:00) Ronald Acuña Jr. is out for the season and the hosts examine just how much the offense misses his MVP level production from last year. The segment includes a potential timetable for his return from the torn ACL.

(22:00) Spencer Schwellenbach took the loss in his MLB debut on Wednesday night. He gave up three runs in five innings and struck out five Nats. The Braves selected Schwellenbach in the second round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of Nebraska.

(25:00) Ray Kerr made another start on Thursday and had a better outing than the previous week in Pittsburgh despite the loss. Kerr spent April in Gwinett's bullpen before being called up in early May.

(35:00) The heat has been turned up from the fan base during this disappointing start of the season and it includes criticism of the hitting coach and the absence of Ron Washington.
